Are my files uploaded to Files Converter?
No. Published file tools process file contents inside your browser. The application server may receive anonymous usage events, but not the selected file.
Why can a large PDF, video, or audio file take longer?
Processing uses your device’s memory and processor. Time and practical file limits therefore depend on the browser, available memory, file format, and device performance.
Do I need an account?
No account is required for the free browser tools. An account is only needed for account-specific or paid features.
Are processed files stored after I close the page?
Files and generated results are not stored by Files Converter. Your browser may keep a downloaded result in the folder you selected.
Why does a media tool download an engine the first time?
Some video and audio operations use a browser-compatible media engine that is loaded on demand. This keeps normal pages lighter and does not upload your media file.
