What runs in the browser
File transformation happens on your device. PDF, image, archive, and media tools rely on browser features and on-demand processing libraries, so compatibility and speed can vary by browser and device.
What depends on the web service
Page delivery, anonymous analytics, administrator access, accounts, advertising configuration, and billing require the Files Converter web service. A browser tool that has already loaded does not use an upload queue.
Troubleshooting
Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. If a tool does not start, refresh the page, check available memory, try a smaller file, and temporarily test without extensions that modify page content.
